Making Space: For Female Authors
Making Space is a movement born from the historical educational restrictions imposed on women, and subsequently their under-representation in the literary canon. Women are asked to write, print, bind, and place their work on a public library bookshelf.
I hosted bookbinding workshops and distributed pre-bound booklets to community centers to encourage women to participate in an infiltration of a historically biased institution - libraries.
1. Women, write a book about what's important to you, any size and any length.
2. Take pictures of the pages of your book and send it to firstname.lastname@example.org
3. Bind the book insert it in a public library shelf.
4. Encourage other women to do the same.
